The search function can be found at the top right of every page on this website (just below the NHS Devon logo).
Type in the keyword(s) you wish to search on and press your SEND / ENTER key.
The search function uses the meta data we set up when we upload documents and create pages, and looks at this meta data for all documents on the website and all pages published on the website. It will not look at the content of the page or the content of the documents.
The search is therefore by default relatively concise – and therefore arguably more useful than a search that is "more powerful" but returns hundreds of hits most of which may not be relevant.
The details displayed on the results page for each hit returned will include the name of the page or document, an icon showing you whether it is a web page or a PDF or Word document etc., and the date that the document or page was last modified in the website system. Hits will be listed in modified date order, most recent first - but you can alter the order of the list to "title" order if preferred.
Naturally, like all search functions, the degree of success of your search depends in part to the keyword(s) that you use. If your initial search does not return what you are looking for then we suggest that you:
