Individual drugs

  • Amifampridine (Firdapse) currently not reviewed by NICE – Amifampridine (Firdapse) is available under a cost capping scheme for registered patients from Biomarin. Details and documentation can be requested by contacting Biomarin on 07795 117877 or Rkitson@bmrn.com

 

  • Azacitidine (Vidaza) – NICE TA218 for myelodysplastic syndrome, chronic myelomoncytic leukaemia and acute myeloid leukaemia - no action required, supplied at a discounted rate to the Provider

 

 

 

  • Cetuximab (Erbitux) - NICE TA176 for first line metastatic colorectal cancer - PAS10

 

  • Degarelix (Firmagon) currently not reviewed by NICE - Degarelix (Firmagon) is available to NHS Hospitals and PCOs at a special price via a simple Patient Access Scheme from Ferring Pharmaceuticals Uro-oncology division. Details and documentation can be requested by contacting Ferring on 01753 214800 or contact@ferring.com 

 

  • Erlotinib (Tarceva) – three indications:
  1. Erlotinib (Tarceva) – NICE TA162 for non small cell lung cancer – no action required, supplied at a discounted rate to the Provider
  2. Erlotinib (Tarceva) – NICE TA227 rejected for the maintenance treatment of non small cell lung cancer
  3. Erlotinib (Tarceva) – currently being reviewed by NICE for first line treatment of non small cell lung cancer in EGFR mutation positive patients. Erlotinib is available at a special price via a simple patient access scheme from Roche Products Ltd.   • Fingolimod (Gilenya) – NICE TA254 for highly active relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis  – no action required, supplied at a discounted cost to the NHS 

 

 

  • Golimumab (Simponi) – three indications:
  1. Golimumab (Simponi) –  NICE TA220 for the treatment of psoriatic arthritis
  2. Golimumab (Simponi) – NICE TA225 for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (after the failure of previous anti-rheumatic drugs)
  3. Golimumab (Simoni) – NICE TA233 for the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis

 

  • Lapatinib (Tyverb) – two indications:
  1. Lapatinib (Tyverb) - NICE rejected for advanced or metastatic breast cancer in combination with capecitabine   - 12 Week Scheme - PAS13A, PAS13B 
                                   -  Discount Scheme -  PAS13C
  2. Lapatinib (Tyverb) – currently not reviewed by NICE for advanced or metastatic breast cancer in combination with an aromatase inhibitor - PAS13C

 

 

  • Mifamurtide (Mepact) NICE TA235

 

  • Nilotinib (Tasigna) – two indications:
  1. Nilotinib (Tasigna) –  NICE TA241 for chronic myeloid leukaemia (imatinib intolerant/resistant) – no action required, supplied at a discounted cost to the NHS
  2. Nilotinib (Tasigna) – NICE TA251 for the first-line treatment chronic myeloid leukaemia – no action required, supplied at a discounted cost to the NHS

 

 

  • Pazopanib (Votrient) NICE TA215 – no action required, supplied at a discounted rate to the Provider – PAS26

 

  • Ranibizumab (Lucentis) NICE TA155 for wet age related macular degeneration - PAS16A, PAS16B, PAS16C

 

  • Romiplostim (Nplate) NICE TA221. Details and documentation for the Patient Access Scheme should be obtained by contacting Amgen on nplate-nicepas@amgen.com

 

 

  • Sunitinib (Sutent) - three indications:
  1. Sunitinib (Sutent) - NICE rejected TA178 for second line treatment of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) - PAS20A, PAS20B
  2. Sunitinib (Sutent) - NICE TA169 for first line treatment of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) - PAS21A, PAS21B
  3. Sunitinib (Sutent) - NICE TA179 for Gastrointestinal stromal tumour (GIST) - PAS22A, PAS22B

 

  • Tocilizumab (RoActemra) – two indications:
  1. Tocilizumab (RoActemra) – NICE TA238 for systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis in children and young people aged 2 years and older – no action required, supplied at a discounted rate to the Provider
  2. Tocilizumab (RoActemra) – NICE TA247 for rheumatoid arthritis in adults – no action required, supplied at a discounted rate to the Provider
