This week is 'Dying Matters Awareness Week'. Nationally there is a lot going on so check your local area for events.
The National Council for Palliative Care is hosting a national conference at the Royal College of Nursing in London.
The excellent work being carried out across Devon is being showcased at this conference and all staff involved in End of Life Care should be proud of what has been achieved so far. This includes the Advance Care Plans, the Just So boxes, Adastra End of Life Care Register, the GP GSF Facilitator appointments and the communication skills package being delivered by them to GPs.
Maggi Clough, Commissioning Manager, EoLC Lead in Torbay Care Trust, and Jenny Bowers, PALS Manager, NHS Devon are doing a joint presentation at the conference and participating in the workshops during the day.
