Community Hospitals provide services including minor injuries, out-patient care, day surgery, rehabilitation, and care for older people and for patients being monitored by their GPs.
They form a link between GP and community nursing services and the resident population Devon.
Your right to choose With further reductions in waiting times, the NHS is now in a better position to introduce greater choice.
All eligible patients who need a GP referral to first outpatient appointments are entitled to be offered a choice of at least four different healthcare providers - and a choice of date and time for that first visit.
